Garage roof replacement is the job big firms quote silly money for, because it is not worth their overhead to turn up for half a day. That is exactly why it is worth mine.
Most are old felt on a timber deck that has been leaking quietly for years, soaking whatever is stored underneath.
EPDM rubber or GRP on a sound deck will see out the garage. It is a one-day job on most single garages.

The interwar and 1930s semis across Weetwood, Far Headingley, Moortown, Cookridge, Alwoodley and Roundhay came with a detached single garage down the side, and most of those roofs are on their second covering at best. They are the classic job here: a timber deck, three layers of tired felt, and a quiet leak that has been soaking whatever is stored under it for years.
On the terraces closer in there is no garage, so the same job turns up as a bay roof, a porch, an outhouse or a back-yard store. Small, awkward, no scaffold, and precisely the work that gets refused by anyone running a squad and a yard. Either way it is a half day to a day of work, and a garage roof replacement should be priced like one rather than like a project.
The thing to check before anyone starts: garages of that age often have asbestos cement sheeting, usually as the roof itself on the prefabricated ones and sometimes as a lining. It is safe while it is intact and left alone. It is not something to break up in the garden or take to the tip, and it needs identifying before a strip is quoted, not discovered halfway through one.

How much is a new garage roof?
A single garage in EPDM or felt is usually between £900 and £1,800 depending on size, access and what is underneath. I will confirm after a look.
How much does a roof repair cost in Leeds?
Most small repairs, a slipped tile or a bit of flashing, land between £150 and £400. A bigger job needs a look first. I quote in writing before anything starts, and the quote is the price.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. I come out, look at the roof properly, and tell you what it needs. If it does not need doing, I will say so.
How quickly can you come out?
For a leak, usually the same day or the next morning. I will get it watertight first and sort the proper repair once the weather allows.
